Statistical Data

Build AI without code: statistics basics, Orange Data Mining and a real penguin classification project.

1No-code AI

No-code AI tools let you build AI models by dragging, dropping and clicking, with no programming. Low-code tools are mostly visual but let you add a little code when you need something special.

2Important concepts in statistics

Statistics describes data with a few numbers. The mean, median and mode describe a typical value. The range, variance and standard deviation describe how spread out the values are.

Marks of a group of students (out of 20). Drag any dot to change a mark. Watch the mean, median, mode and spread respond.

3Orange Data Mining

Orange is a free no-code tool for data science. You place widgets on a canvas and connect them so data flows from one to the next: load data, explore it, train a model, evaluate it and make predictions.

Build the penguin project in Orange. Problem: predict a penguin's species from its body measurements. At each step, pick the widget that comes next. Tap any widget on the canvas to see what it shows.

4Use case: classifying penguins

The Palmer Penguins dataset records the bill length, bill depth, flipper length and body mass of three penguin species. A model can learn to tell the species apart, but only if we give it measurements that actually differ between them.
